https://ejurnal.uwp.ac.id/lppm/index.php/semanggi/article/view/507

Urban food security in rapidly urbanizing contexts remains constrained by limited land availability and weak community-level adoption of sustainable food practices. Although urban farming is widely promoted, existing approaches are predominantly technocentric and insufficiently integrate experiential learning, community empowerment, and scalable dissemination mechanisms. This study is among the first to propose and empirically demonstrate an integrative model that combines low-cost bottle aquaponics, experiential learning, and educational tourism (eduwisata) as a community-based diffusion platform. Using an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the intervention was implemented through field assessment, participatory training, and experiential dissemination. The findings reveal that simple, highly replicable systems significantly enhance food literacy, technical capability, and adoption intention, while eduwisata accelerates diffusion beyond initial participants. This study advances urban food security literature by bridging technological and social dimensions and offers a scalable pathway linking education, local food production, and community empowerment in resource-constrained urban environments.
Anang KistyantoFebrika Yogie HermantoAmirusholihin AmirusholihinMuhammad Fajar Wahyudi RahmanRestu Eri Adinata

https://ejurnal.uwp.ac.id/lppm/index.php/semanggi/article/view/506

Nurlailah NurlailahApriani AprianiMaswati MaswatiSyahnur Syahnur

https://ejurnal.uwp.ac.id/lppm/index.php/semanggi/article/view/505

This community service activity aims to enhance the management capacity of Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) based on Ramadan spiritual values as a strategy for Muslim family economic empowerment and poverty-stunting alleviation in Lompoe Village, Parepare City. Partner problems include: (1) low muzakki awareness in structured ZIS fulfillment; (2) weak managerial capacity of mosque administrators; (3) high rates of poverty (27.4%) and stunting (23.1%); and (4) suboptimal use of ZIS funds for productive programs. The implementation used Community-Based Participatory Action Research (CBPAR) over 6 months (July–December 2025), involving 85 active participants. Results showed significant improvements: ZIS collection increased by 41.2%; managerial capacity improved by 67.3%; beneficiary family income rose by an average of IDR 385,000/month; and stunting prevalence dropped by 16.8% within 6 months. The program successfully established an independent Mosque ZIS Management Institution (LPZM).
Muhammad Nur MaallahAmiruddin Z. NurSyahnur Rahman

https://ejurnal.uwp.ac.id/lppm/index.php/semanggi/article/view/438

The Food Security Strengthening Program through Biosaka Education and Vegetable Seed Distribution in Bekiring Village, Pulung Sub-district, Ponorogo Regency, was implemented using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The program aimed to improve household food self-sufficiency by utilizing home yards and adopting environmentally friendly agricultural innovations. The methods included training on the production and application of Biosaka, vegetable cultivation practices using polybags, and the distribution of short-term vegetable seeds such as chili, tomato, and eggplant. The results indicate an increased community understanding of food diversification, collective awareness of yard utilization, and active participation in vegetable cultivation. The program’s strengths lie in its simple, low-cost, and practical methods, making it easily accepted by the community, particularly among low-income families. However, limitations such as restricted mentoring time and uneven technical comprehension among residents remain as challenges. Future program development should emphasize continuous mentoring, diversification of plant varieties, and the establishment of household farmer groups to ensure stronger and more sustainable community food security.
Mualifah IslamM. https://ejurnal.uwp.ac.id/lppm/index.php/semanggi/article/view/508

In Muncar District, Banyuwangi, 105 children under five were recorded as stunted in May 2024, increasing to 121 in June 2024. Although local government efforts have focused on improving nutritional intake, aspects of parenting practices and optimal feeding strategies have received less attention. This community service activity aimed to provide training on parenting and maternal feeding practices for mothers, with the expectation that they would be better equipped to care for and provide appropriate nutrition for stunted toddlers. The intervention method consisted of training sessions for 43 mothers with children under the age of five. The results indicated that participants gained knowledge about stunting, child-rearing practices, and appropriate feeding strategies for toddlers. Based on pre- and post-test results from 28 cleaned datasets, a significant difference was found, with a t-test value of -2.360 and a p-value of 0.026. Qualitatively, participants demonstrated good understanding and were able to apply simple caregiving practices, as observed through discussions and question-and-answer sessions during the training. In conclusion, parenting and maternal feeding training can improve knowledge and foster positive attitude changes among participating mothers.
Suryanto SuryantoEndang Retno SurjaningrumAfif KurniawanEva Nur RachmahNurmawati NurmawatiSummayah Usman Balbeid Talitha ShahizaNabila Fadhia
